Wall Problems
As surveyors carrying out a building survey we look at the walls very closely as they are such a great indicator as to whether there are structural problems underneath the property or close to the property in the form of cracks and stress marks.
Walls can also weather over time and really deteriorate and they can also be repaired wrongly. One of the more common problems we come across on older properties is where a cement mortar is wrongly used to repoint rather than a lime mortar which can cause all sorts of problems as older properties need to breathe.
