Meeting the Building Surveyor at the property was very useful
We instructed 1stAssociated to survey a detached war years house for us. On viewing the property we found it felt cold and asked for the surveyors advice on this. We attended the survey which we found very useful as we were able to meet the surveyor. The surveyor gave us a lot of insight as to what was going on with the property and explained how this era of property was not built to be as energy efficient as a new build. Taking everything into consideration we have decided not to go ahead with this house and are at present house hunting again.

Essential Schedules of Condition
We instructed 1stAssociated to survey 2 warehouses for us and produce a Schedule of Condition. We met the surveyor at the property who was very knowledgeable and from his finding we were able to renegotiate with the landlord and agree for certain things to be excluded from the lease!

Comprehensive Building Surveying Service
We instructed 1stAssociated to survey a warehouse we were looking at purchasing in Birmingham. On the day of the survey we met the surveyor at the property which we found very useful. The report we received was very comprehensive and the surveyor even spent time on the phone after the survey going through things with us. Due to the findings of the survey which highlighted dampness, roof problems, structural movement and cracking and other things we felt to purchase the property would be too high a risk and so didn't go ahead with the purchase but thought the service was invaluable.

Save money with a Building Survey
With the problems highlighted in the survey, we asked the vendor to accept an offer £30,000 below the offer price, but they have decided not to accept so we have pulled out of buying the house but would be happy to use you for the next property we find for sure.

Peace of mind building surveys
1stAssociated were instructed to survey this former bank for us which we propose to turn into a restaurant. We were very happy with the standard of the reports we received. The surveyor recommended the dampness related problems with the property be excluded from the lease and this is now in the hands of our solicitor who is sorting the legal side for us.

Schedules of Condition save you money
The in depth reports I received on the pub I am looking at leasing have been very useful to date as they have allowed me to negotiate. I am still in negotiations so I cannot say as yet whether I will be taking on the pub lease. Great Building Survey Service
We had used 1stAssociated previously and instructed them this time to survey two properties on the same road of which one we were planning on living in and one renting out. Again, the surveyor was fantastic and as well as meeting him at the properties provided us with great survey reports. Unfortunately due to issues found one of the properties we decided not to purchase but the other one we purchased and we are now living in. Saved making a costly mistake with a Building Survey
I am so grateful I had this building survey report carried out as I feel it has avoided me making a costly mistake. The property surveyed was a non traditional build Council property and I had the Right to Buy but have decided after reading the very comprehensive report not to purchase.
I will be speaking to the Council regarding other properties and will definitely come back to 1stAssociated if I need a survey in the future.
