Meeting the Building Surveyor at the property really helped
My wife and I were pleased to see a house for sale in our town which I have lived in my whole childhood. I am in the building trade but after visiting the property and having a few concerns myself with dampness in the walls, I called 1stAssociated and booked a survey. It was easy to arrange and a very smooth process. The helpful and friendly lady when calling the free phone 0800 298 5424 number sent me straight away an example survey and a reasonable quote.
I was allowed to met the surveyor at the property on the day which really helped as not only did he explain the damp problems in more detail but he also highlighted all the cracks within the property which I hadn't seen. These were also photographed and included in the report with solutions on how to repair or replace and how much it may cost. We are pleased to say we made an offer on the property and will be moving in within the next few weeks.

Easy to understand Building Surveys
This is the second survey we have booked with 1stAssociated. Again we met the surveyor at the property which we found very helpful. The report we received was very detailed and easy to understand and even included 3D sketches of the property as well as an immediate work programme of basic maintenance needed to be carried out should we go ahead and buy the property as the property is in a dilapidated state.

I booked to have a full survey carried out on a Victorian end of terrace property. I had already had a homebuyers survey and had been advised to get a more detailed report relating to damp and timber. Due to the surveyors findings relating to dampness and movement it was recommended I did not purchase the property. I have taken the surveyors comments onboard and I am currently looking at other properties.
Once another property is found I will definitely be using the services of 1st Associated again.

Brilliant Building Survey
I instructed 1stAssociated on behalf of a family friend to come and look at her flat that had internal damp in the bathroom and back bedroom and externally water on the brickwork. I met the surveyor at the property who was brilliant. He explained the problems to me face to face and a few days later we received a very well written and easy to understand report. We now have a clear guide as to the problems and how to solve them. The report even stated approximate costs of the work needed. We can now start to address the issues and get them sorted.

Building Surveys with costs of repairs
The building survey was very useful as it highlighted problems with the property and also gave me the approximate cost of repairs. As I am buying the property alone I felt the issues were too much to take on so I will not be purchasing but without the survey I would not have known about those issues so the survey was very worth having.
I am looking now for another property and would definitely use 1stAssociated again
